This spring, the Center for ReSource Conservation and the City of Lafayette will once again offer low-water perennial gardens to residents through the Garden In A Box program. These affordable, do it yourself garden kits come with starter plants, a Plant and Care Guide, and plant by number maps that make you an instant planting pro.  The “Getting to Know Your Garden In A Box” seminar is designed to help you prepare your landscape for planting your Garden In A Box kit and the growing season ahead.

Join us for an evening filled with beauty and intrigue at the Lafayette Public Library where we will discuss the endless delights Xeric perennials have to offer and the sometimes mysterious ways in which they grow.  Regardless of your expertise, this seminar will have a little something for everyone!  Xeriscape expert, Curtis Manning of Curtis Manning Design, presents “Getting to Know Your Garden In A Box”.  Specifically, this seminar will focus on: how to design your water-wise landscape, how to prepare your landscape for planting a Garden In A Box, how to care for your perennials during year one and beyond, how to maintain your garden throughout the years, and much more!  This seminar is the perfect complement to the City of Lafayette’s spring 2017 Turf Removal and Replacement program.  All Turf Removal Program participants are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop and learn more about their future water-wise landscape!
