Help Distribute Waterwise Gardens
Do you love plants and enjoy spending time outdoors with fellow gardeners and conservation enthusiasts? Join us for a fun, plant-filled few hours as we unload and distribute our Garden In A Box kits, helping to promote water savings across Colorado.
Garden In A Box pickups are pop-up style, drive-thru events held at various locations across Colorado in May, June, August, and September. Customers come to collect their pre-ordered kits and we rely on volunteer help to setup and run these fun and efficient events.

WHAT TO EXPECT
We welcome volunteer help for the setup shifts and the event shifts of each pickup event.
Setup Shift Tasks
- Unload, organize, and QA pre-sorted gardens trays from the nursery trucks
- Set up the customer check-in tent and any other event materials (cones, signage etc.)
- Please Note:
- This shift requires lots of lifting and bending – it’s physically demanding.
- This shift ends as soon as all the setup tasks are completed, which might be before the scheduled end time.
- All Western Slope setup shift timing is subject to change based on nursery shipping schedules.

Event Shift Tasks
- Check in customers and help answer common questions
- Retrieve and load customers’ orders into their cars
- Help manage traffic for safety and efficiency
- Please Note:
- If you have concerns about bending or lifting, this shift has a few less physically demanding roles available!
- This is a customer-facing shift, is high-energy, and requires good communication and teamwork.

NEED TO KNOW
- All volunteers must be 12 years old or older.
- Volunteers 12-18 years old must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
