Resource Central is looking for volunteers to help put conservation into action. Every year, hundreds of volunteers donate their time, impacting conservation throughout Colorado. Whether you choose to help at a one-time event or make a longer-term commitment as a volunteer, we welcome your generous contribution of time and talent.
The first step to becoming a volunteer is to fill out an application based on your interests. Volunteer Opportunities: Materials Reuse Program
Conservation Concierge Role
Be the friendly face that welcomes program participants to our Materials Reuse site, helping them locate materials, sharing DIY tips, and offering advice—all while staying active with plenty of walking, standing, and chatting!
Materials Donation Role
Join the action in our donation lane, where you’ll help divert millions of pounds of materials by welcoming donors, sorting and pricing items, and enhancing the donation experience—all while staying active and connecting with our conservation-minded community!
Yard Organization & Merchandising Role
Enjoy an active role keeping building materials out of landfills by organizing, processing, and displaying donated items. Create an inviting space for program participants while promoting sustainability and community impact.
Volunteer Opportunity: Garden In A Box
Help Distribute Waterwise Gardens
Do you love plants and enjoy spending time outdoors with fellow gardeners and conservation enthusiasts? Join us for a fun, plant-filled few hours as we unload and distribute our Garden In A Box kits, helping to promote water savings across Colorado. Pickup events take place at various locations throughout the state in May, June, August, and September. Business & Corporation Involvement
We gladly welcome contributions from large groups! If your business or corporation is interested in volunteering, we invite you to join us for a day of landscaping, organizing materials in our Materials Reuse yard, or other meaningful activities that support our conservation mission.
