Resource Central is looking for volunteers to help put conservation into action. Every year, hundreds of volunteers donate their time, impacting conservation throughout Colorado. Whether you choose to help at a one-time event or make a longer-term commitment as a volunteer, we welcome your generous contribution of time and talent.

Volunteer Opportunities: Materials Reuse Program
Help Reduce Waste and Conserve Resources
Join us for an active and impactful role at our Materials Reuse facility, where every effort supports conservation. Every day, community members donate unneeded building materials so others can purchase them affordably, helping us keep over 6 million pounds of materials in use and out of the landfill each year. Volunteers like you make it all happen—whether you’re welcoming visitors, organizing, sorting, and pricing materials, or simply being a friendly face at one of our fun events.
Have a skilled trade? Join our handyperson crew or even lead a workshop on site! Whatever your skills, interests, or availability, there’s a place for you to make a real difference in reducing waste and supporting your community.
Volunteer Opportunity: Garden In A Box
Help Distribute Waterwise Gardens
Do you love plants and enjoy spending time outdoors with fellow gardeners and conservation enthusiasts? Join us for a fun, plant-filled few hours as we unload and distribute our Garden In A Box kits, helping to promote water savings across Colorado. Pickup events take place at various locations throughout the state in May, June, August, and September. Business & Corporation Involvement
We gladly welcome contributions from large groups! If your business or corporation is interested in volunteering, we invite you to join us for a day of landscaping, organizing materials in our Materials Reuse yard, or other meaningful activities that support our conservation mission.
