We are Resource Central — an award-winning nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado determined to make conservation so simple that you don’t even realize you’re doing it. Established in 1976, our innovative programs have helped more than 700,000 people save water, conserve energy, and reduce waste. And we’re just getting started.

History:

Resource Central, formerly known as Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC), was founded in 1976 by a group of community-minded citizens seeking ways to help reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources. The organization has since developed extensive expertise in the areas of youth engagement, energy efficiency, reclaimed materials, xeriscaping, and water conservation.

Our Sustainability Programs include:

ReSource

Located in Boulder, CO, ReSource accepts donations of architectural salvage for reuse and upcycling, diverting millions of pounds of materials from the landfill each year and providing affordable reclaimed building materials.

Water Conservation Programs

Resource Central works with over two dozen Front Range water utilities to provide direct services to help businesses and residents use less water through the use of technology, equipment swaps and upgrades, and education. We offer seven different programs that support individual, municipal, and state water conservation goals.
