Plant a Waterwise Demonstration Garden and Inspire Conservation in Your Community

Even though we’re entering the late summer season, Resource Central’s commitment to water conservation is still going strong.

To encourage water savings in larger spaces and to show the community how beautiful a waterwise garden can be, we’re excited to introduce a new pilot project designed specifically for non-residential properties: Waterwise Demonstration Gardens.

Simple Steps to a Beautiful, Waterwise Space

This pilot program is designed to transform nonresidential areas of healthy nonfunctional turf grass in HOAs, schools, businesses, and other community or private properties, with professionally designed waterwise gardens. Waterwise gardens use less than half the water of traditional turf grass, and Resource Central’s friendly team makes it easy to jumpstart your project!

Apply and get approved for the program, which comes with:

  • Up to 5,000 square feet of healthy turf removed by Resource Central
  • Up to 2,000 square feet of Garden In A Box low-water plants with landscape design maps
  • Project consultation from Resource Central, including sod removal and garden delivery

Please note that planting, any mulch or ground cover, and irrigation conversion are not included. The deadline for Resource Central to remove the lawn and deliver the plants is September 30, 2025. Availability is limited, and the last day to submit an application will be August 20, 2025.

Waterwise demonstration gardens don’t just save water; they inspire change in communities.  make sustainable landscaping more visible, accessible, and achievable for all. Whether it’s a schoolyard, a business frontage, or a community common area, these gardens create conversation, connection, and community.
