With Gratitude, A New Era for Renew Our Schools Begins

After many years of incredible student leadership, creative problem-solving, and meaningful energy savings, this fall is the final Renew Our Schools competition. Renew Our Schools has been our passion project for more than a decade, and it has been a privilege to work with the teachers, students, administrators, and energy champions who brought the program to life. Thank you for opening your classrooms and buildings to us, for sharing your students’ ideas, and for showing what is possible when young people are empowered to understand and change the way their schools use energy. Because of you,

  • Thousands of students learned how to measure and manage energy
  • Dozens of school districts created lasting efficiency practices
  • Millions of kilowatt-hours have been saved
  • And a generation of students has grown up knowing they can make a difference

Renew Our Schools in Wisconsin

The Renew Our Schools competition continues its mission in Wisconsin, engaging K-12 students in hands-on energy conservation with crucial support from Focus on Energy and the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP), empowering the next generation of energy-conscious leaders.

Continuing to Track Energy

Schools with an eGauge energy monitor already have a tool that shows how buildings use energy and where reductions may be possible. Many campuses use these monitors for engagement projects and ongoing tracking. Bolder Energy Engineers, who supports eGauge installations, also offers optional services for schools interested in continued monitoring support.
