How it Works
What's Included
The Lawn Removal Service includes a phone consultation with our xeriscape advisors to help plan and schedule your project.
On the day of your project, we will first cut the lawn using a mechanical sod cutter to a depth of about two inches. Next, we’ll remove all the material we cut and haul it to a permitted composting facility at no extra charge. Finally, we’ll rake the area smooth and sweep up.
Sorry, we do not currently offer rototilling, soil amending, planting, mulch delivery, irrigation retrofits, nor any other landscaping services.
Pricing and Discounts
Resource Central is a not-for-profit organization. We’re on a mission to conserve water and we strive to keep our prices as low as possible.
Our regular Lawn Removal Service rate for the 2023 season is $2.50 per square foot. Many customers are eligible for a discount through our partnerships with Colorado water utilities. If your utility offers a discount, you’ll pay just $1.00 per square foot, up to a predetermined maximum set by your utility.
We have a 200 square foot minimum for all projects. Sorry, no exceptions.
Additionally, you could also be eligible for up to three discounted low-water Garden In A Box kits through our Lawn Replacement Program.
Availability
The Lawn Removal Service is generally available from May through September each year, weather dependent. Sorry, we cannot remove lawn in the winter or early spring. We typically work from 8am until 4pm and can complete most projects in half a day or less.
All appointments and discounts are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Demand is typically very high in May because our Garden In A Box plants are available. Be sure to reach out early and get scheduled.
Service Area
Our Lawn Removal Service is available in Colorado only. We operate on the eastern slope, roughly from Fort Collins through Greeley, Longmont, Boulder, Denver, Centennial and Parker.
