Social Media Community Guidelines

As a conservation nonprofit, Resource Central uses social media to connect with our community and share program highlights and conservation tips to help support our vision to build a waterwise and resilient Colorado by inspiring local action on a massive scale. Whether you’re engaging with our posts about saving water, reducing waste, conserving energy, or showing your support, we’re glad you’re here.

To keep things respectful, helpful, and conservation-driven, we’ve put together these guidelines for interacting with our social media accounts.

By interacting with Resource Central online, you agree to follow these community guidelines. Thank you for helping us maintain a positive space that supports our conservation impact.

Be Respectful

We welcome friendly dialogue and expect all users to engage respectfully. That means:

  • No hate speech or discrimination of any kind.
  • No threats, harassment, name-calling, or bullying.
  • No profanity or graphic content.

Stay on Topic

We’re here for conservation, sustainability, and community connection. Comments or posts that are off-topic, spam, repetitive, or unsolicited advertising or promotions will be removed.

Be Safe

Please don’t post personal details like your phone number, address, or account details. Got a question or need assistance? Please email us directly at info@resourcecentral.org or send a private message — we’re happy to help!

We Moderate

Our team checks comments and messages during business hours (Monday to Friday). We may remove anything that meets the following:

  • Breaks these guidelines
  • Spreads misinformation
  • Is misleading or intentionally disruptive

Repeated violations may result in being blocked, but we’d rather not.

We Engage

Sometimes we like, comment on, or share posts from individuals or organizations. That doesn’t mean we endorse everything they say or do. We’re just joining the conversation, spotlighting great ideas, or sharing inspiration that aligns with our mission to make conservation easy.

Response Time

We do our best to reply to messages within one business day. Some questions might take longer if we need to gather more info or check with the right team member.

Share Feedback

We welcome reviews, and your feedback helps us improve. As a nonprofit, we value hearing from the community we serve. If you have something to share, reach out to info@resourcecentral.org. If you leave a public review, we ask that you keep it constructive.
