Garden In A Box: Late Summer Sale
Though spring gets all the hype, planting in the late summer is another great option. Perennials can be planted up to a month before the first fall frost. Benefits include:
- Warm soil temps = rapid & strong root growth
- Milder air temps = less transplant shock & less water to establish
- Skip blooming season after transplant = strong spring comeback
