Ongoing to 2/27 – ReNew Our Schools St. Vrain Competition
February 2, 2015 - February 27, 2015
A competition is taking place in St. Vrain Valley School District from February 2nd – February 27th, 2015. In this competition, 14 schools will compete to win one of three prizes valued up to $25,000 by reducing energy use in their school and homes, and submitting multi-disciplinary energy-themed projects. To help the schools reach their goal, professionals in the conservation field are brought in to act as mentors to participating students. These Mentors teach them energy saving tactics and motivate them to become energy leaders in their school community. With this newly gained energy knowledge, students are empowered to encourage their school community and families to change energy behaviors.
3 winning schools will earn up to $25,000 to make energy efficiency changes to the school building.
