Water-Wise Landscape Seminar: Beginner’s Guide to Water-Wise Landscaping
April 5, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
You don’t have to be an expert to plan, design and install your own water-wise garden! This seminar will introduce the basics of water-efficient landscaping in the Front Range, making it easy and accessible to anyone with a little bit of space for planting and a great love for the outdoors. Join horticulturist expert, Eric Hammond of CSU Extension, as he discusses the many ways that a transformation from water-thirsty turfgrass to a low-water garden can save you time, energy and water! Content will include the 7 principles of water-wise landscaping and the guidelines for incorporating them into your very own landscape. This class is intended for beginners and participants are strongly encouraged to come with questions.
“Beginner’s Guide to Water-Wise Landscaping” is brought to you by the Town of Lochbuie in partnership with the Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC). CRC was founded in 1976 by a group of community-minded citizens seeking ways to reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources. Today, CRC is widely respected as an innovative nonprofit that puts conservation into action by preserving what matters. In collaboration with local and regional municipalities, CRC empowers 50,000+ community members annually to conserve our natural resources through accessible and affordable conservation programs. CRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates as a social enterprise in Boulder, CO.
