Shop Reclaimed Building Materials
Resource Central’s reclaimed building material retail location has had a significant presence in the sustainability community since 1996 and is our longest-running program. Come stop by our store; we’d love to show you around the donated construction materials, architectural salvage, and deconstruction gems. Get affordable building supplies!

Buying used supplies reduces manufacturing & shipping emissions of newly produced materials.
FAQs
Can I call the store and have a staff member find what I’m looking for?
We can give you a general idea of whether or not certain types of items are in stock, but because of the fast-paced nature of our business, the hourly change in inventory, and the range of quality in our stock, it is best to come down and see our selection for yourself. Once you arrive, one of our staff will be happy to help you find whatever you are looking for!
Will you refund my money if something I bought doesn't work out?
We offer full refunds within 14 days of purchase with a receipt or record of member purchase in our computer system. Please be sure to measure and/or thoroughly check the condition of items before making a purchase.
Why is the good stuff always sold when I get here?
Our inventory changes by the hour. If you want to be the first to know about new materials at Resource Central, sign up to receive our exclusive Material Alerts. They will be delivered to your inbox every week!

Where does the money I spend at Resource Central go?

Your money helps pay for our operational expenses and is also invested in creating new resource conservation programs and services. Sign up to receive Resource Central’s e-newsletter for a monthly look at how your support is being put to use.
Does Resource Central rent or own its buildings in Boulder?
We do not own the buildings at 6400 Arapahoe in Boulder. The City of Boulder purchased the site in 2009 to house Zero-Waste diversion programs. Resource Central rents its share of the land.
Can I bring my class to Resource Central for a tour?
Yes, we conduct over 35 school tours a year and host schools for their community service projects and summer camps. For more information contact the Resource Central Store Manager.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We are always interested in working with individuals who want to help make a difference. Opportunities range from spending a few hours each week cleaning and organizing our inventory to serving on an event planning committee and/or helping with administrative tasks. Check out our volunteer page for more information and a list of current opportunities.
Where does Resource Central get its funding?
Resource Central operates as a social enterprise, which means that some of our programs earn income that contributes to the organization’s overall financial health. As a social enterprise, we equally value and strive to balance the twin priorities of financial performance and impact.
