Garden In A Box Pickup Events

All online Garden In A Box orders must be picked up in Colorado during designated pickup events in May, June, August, or September. We’ve been growing! Please take a look at our locations and dates for pickups this season below.

Selecting Pickup Events

  • Select your pickup location and date during checkout.
  • Please note the ONE HOUR time slots for each event.
  • Pickup events and time slots are capped at a maximum size and closed once we reach that cap based on the venue capacity. Pickup events that have reached capacity are listed as “Full Event”
  • You may not change your order or pickup date in the 7 days leading up to your pickup event. Nurseries will already be sorting your garden! All pickups will be closed 7 days in advance. Closed pickup events are marked with “No longer accepting orders”.

Pickup Event Overview

  • The pickup event is a full-service, drive-thru event. For safety and efficiency please remain in your car and follow all signage.
  • Try to arrive during your one hour time slot, if possible. Otherwise, please come anytime during the entire event time frame.
  • Most orders will fit comfortably in a typical vehicle. An empty car should fit about 8 flats with the back seats down.
  • Remember, plants will not be their mature size upon pickup.
  • Plan to plant within two weeks of your pickup for best results.

Common Pickup Questions

How big are the gardens? Will they fit in my car?

  • Flats (or trays) of sorted starter plants are each 2 ft x 1 ft.
  • 60 sqft or less gardens (9-15 plants) are each one flat.  100 sqft gardens (24-32 plants) are each two flats.
  • Flats cannot be stacked.
  • The average-sized car can fit about 8-10 flats.
  • Please clean out your trunk prior to arrival.
  • If you have a large order, feel free to email us to confirm the number of flats in your order.

What if I cannot make my pickup event?

  • Contact us ASAP to change pickup events. We cannot accommodate changes to your order or pickup event within 8 days of your pickup date.
  • If you cannot make your one hour time slot, please come anytime during the entire pickup event. All event times are listed above.
  • These gardens are a live product and, due to the large volume of our business, we cannot guarantee care of the garden after the pickup event.
  • A friend or family member is always welcome pick up on your behalf. Just make sure they have the first and last name on the order (or forward them your order confirmation email).
  • Please contact us if you know you cannot make your pickup event.
