Sustainable Services for Our Community
Resource Central’s retail facility is located at 6400 Arapahoe Rd. We offer a variety of goods from gently used, donor-sourced construction and building materials to unique one-of-a-kind treasures. Similar to a salvage yard, reclaimed materials are sold for reuse and upcycling. Our yard, warehouse, and showroom have an ever-changing inventory for creators, builders, and DIYers alike. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to be in the know about special donations!
Resource Central’s retail location has had a significant presence in the sustainability community since 1996 and is our longest-running program. We are proud to be located next to Eco-Cycle’s CHARM program, a mission-aligned partner who is one of the largest nonprofit recyclers in the U.S.
By creating a second life for Resource Central materials, you are diverting waste from landfills and that’s an amazing triumph. Come stop by our store, we’d love to show you around.
We can give you a general idea of whether or not certain types of items are in stock, but because of the fast-paced nature of our business, the hourly change in inventory, and the range of quality in our stock, it is best to come down and see our selection for yourself. Once you arrive, one of our staff will be happy to help you find whatever you are looking for!
We offer full refunds within 14 days of purchase with a receipt or record of member purchase in our computer system. Please be sure to measure and/or thoroughly check the condition of items before making a purchase.

Resource Central is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means that proceeds from our sales are reinvested in supporting our mission to put conservation into action. Your money helps pay for our operational expenses and is also invested in creating new resource conservation programs and services. Sign up to receive Resource Central’s e-newsletter for a monthly look at how your support is being put to use.
We do not own the buildings at 6400 Arapahoe in Boulder. The City of Boulder purchased the site in 2009 to house Zero-Waste diversion programs. Resource Central rents its share of the land.
Yes! We are always interested in working with individuals who want to help make a difference. Opportunities range from spending a few hours each week cleaning and organizing our inventory to serving on an event planning committee and/or helping with administrative tasks. Check out our volunteer page for more information and a list of current opportunities.
Resource Central operates as a social enterprise, which means that some of our programs earn income that contributes to the organization’s overall financial health. As a social enterprise, we equally value and strive to balance the twin priorities of financial performance and impact.
