Water-Wise Landscape Seminar: Prepare Your Garden for Heat and Drought
May 10, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
“Prepare Your Garden for Heat and Drought” will focus on creating a resilient, beautiful, and low water garden through careful planning and installation. More specifically, this class will explore: proper soil preparation, plant selection, maintenance, and irrigation. The goal of this seminar is to teach residents how to build an ecosystem that can survive and thrive with these ever-changing climate conditions. It sounds complex and costly, but, local Xeriscape expert, Mikl Brawner of Harlequin’s Gardens, reassures us that it doesn’t have to be that hard or expensive. He also reminds us in this inspiring and engaging seminar that the time is now. We must create these landscape changes in stages before we are in the middle of serious heat and drought. To learn more about drought resilience and how to create a hardy, beautiful, and water-wise landscape, join us on May 10th at the Center for ReSource Conservation!
