Apply for the 2026 Season

Save Water on a Large Scale

Large landscapes use lots of water. We’re Resource Central, a conservation nonprofit, ready to help your Homeowners Association (HOA) or other large properties take steps towards saving water, wherever you are in the process!

HOAs and other Large Properties are one of the most important opportunities for outdoor water savings in Colorado. They face barriers like complex governance, limited budgets, minimal resources and expertise, and competing priorities that make projects hard to complete.

Resource Central created highly impactful offerings that meet HOA needs and directly address these barriers. With support from the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), we deliver consultations, assessments, and program infrastructure that lead directly to turf removal, irrigation upgrades, and measurable water savings.

Large Property Water Assessment Program

Make smart, informed decisions about your property’s water use with our data-driven assessments.

We help HOA leaders and property managers identify improvement opportunities, prioritize projects, and showcase demonstration sites that inspire the community. The program includes on-site irrigation and landscape analysis, GIS mapping of turf and irrigation zones, ROI analysis of water and cost savings, education sessions with boards and property managers, and a final report with actionable recommendations.

The assessment program is free to a limited number of properties. A select number properties may be eligible for a $20,000 CWCB-funded grant to implement provided recommendations and create inspiring case studies that demonstrate real water and cost savings in action.

HOA Turf Conversion Consultation Program

Imagine beautiful, waterwise landscapes throughout your HOA community…we’ll help you get there!

Many homeowners’ associations (HOAs) wish they could stop sinking money into large, nonfunctional areas of bluegrass, but don’t know where to start on replacing turf with waterwise alternatives. Our program will help you get started, and make the process easier for you through project completion.

We’ll provide assistance, resources, and support from project start to finish. Consultations include regular check-ins to help troubleshoot and keep the project moving forward, as well as an information packet full of resources to help with your project. The consultation program is free to a limited number of HOAs, and successful participants will receive an up to $8,000 grant to put toward their project!
