Igniting the Next Generation of Conservationists
Renew Our Schools is a youth engagement program of Resource Central that blends sustainability practices into school curricula and after-school programming.
Renew Our Schools is a K-12 energy conservation program that is available to schools across Colorado and the nation! In our program, schools use real-time energy data from eGauge energy monitors to evaluate and reduce their energy consumption. Schools earn points and compete to win cash prizes! The more energy you save, the more points you earn. Schools can also earn points by doing energy-themed actions, such as conducting an energy audit, teaching other students about energy, or bringing energy experts in to their school.
Historically we have worked with school districts all over Colorado. New in 2018, is the opportunity for any school in the nation, private, public or charter, to participate in a competition!

School Measured Savings
During the competition, schools reduce their electricity use by behavioral means only: turning off lights, removing unnecessary appliances, setting computers to power save mode, changing building programming schedules. Each school is equipped with an eGauge electricity monitor that provides real-time data. Learn More
