At Resource Central, we’re on a mission to make conservation easy, and one of the most powerful ways we do that is through our deconstruction and free pickup services. Every year, we divert hundreds of thousands of pounds of usable building materials from the landfill, thanks to partnerships with local contractors, businesses, and community members like you!

What We Do

Our pickup team is on the road five days a week, making four to eight stops daily. Some of those are small residential pickups, but many come through partnerships with contractors and businesses. Together, we’ve saved entire kitchens — cabinets, appliances, countertops — as well as full window and door packages. On some projects, we’ve kept tens of thousands of pounds out of the landfill from a single site.

It’s not just interiors. We also partner with landscaping contractors to recover huge amounts of stone, using our 18-foot flatbed truck with an attached forklift to make the process smooth and efficient. Once back at our facility, these heavy-duty supplies are stocked in our stone yard and lumber yard, ready to find a new home.

To make the process easy, we offer a free walkthrough service before a project begins, creating a clear list with photos of what we can take. Everything we pick up is free for donors and tax-deductible, making reuse both practical and impactful.
