February is a month of love. And with this love, we want to share our appreciation for our dedicated customers. It is our customers and the community that we have created, that encourage us to grow our business and provide the services that they as members of our local community, need and deserve. To pay tribute to the rock stars in our community, we will be sharing their stories and showcasing their talent.
This month we have the pleasure of shining the spotlight on a rockin’ mother/daughter duo! So, without further ado let’s meet these incredible ladies..
Meet Donna Ruiz and Lupe Vallejos, a mother/daughter duo making a name for themselves in the world of “upcycling.” They began their company, On The Porch 1939, just 3 years ago with a love for old pieces and a vision for more. They build benches out of old wood, home decor out of old windows, and sand down old furniture and give it a fresh paint and stain. The results are shabby chic items with a rustic charm. The best part about all of this?! Most of their materials come from ReSource!
The reason why they like shopping at ReSource seems like a no brainer, but we wanted to know what exactly it is about this place, that keeps them coming back week after week. For them, it’s the thrill and inspiration they get from hunting and picking for new materials. By shopping at ReSource they are sure to find old hutches, cabinets and chairs that are original and worn, but just need some love and attention. That is where they come in. With their energy and vision they are able to turn those not-so-appealing items into shabby chic, charming items that will make your heart sing!
