A Big Day for Reuse: Conservation Clearance Recap

Conservation Impact by the Numbers

Thanks to everyone who joined us Saturday, August 8, for the Conservation Clearance + Rock & Reuse event!

Together, you helped give 1,004 reclaimed items a second life and diverted more than 34,500 pounds of materials from the landfill. With over 350 community members participating, your choice to shop reclaimed materials helped keep valuable items in use and created space for even more donations to find their next home.

Sun, Fun, and Community

Conservation was at the heart of the day, with plenty of community fun along the way.  The day included live, local music from The Dollhouse Thieves, food from Rat’s Woodshack BBQ, fun and resources from Boulder Sports Recycler, activities with ChargeBug, and even live glassblowing from local artists Brian Cofran and Jacqueline McKinny.

Whether you came to hunt for reclaimed treasures, enjoy the music, connect with local partners, or simply spend some time celebrating conservation, thank you for being part of it. Your participation helps keep useful materials circulating in the community.
