Rock & Reuse Recap: A Blooming Good Time!

The Summer Plant & Garden Sale edition of our Rock & Reuse concert series on Saturday, June 7, was a HUGE success! Thank you to everyone who came out to browse waterwise plants, shop reclaimed yard tools, support one of our artists or partners, and enjoy some live DJ music and tacos!  Our team had such a fun day interacting with hundreds of community members and program participants, including many who were first-time visitors to our Materials Reuse facility. We love to see the conservation impact spread from friend to friend and neighbor to neighbor. Conservation is a community effort, which this event demonstrated perfectly!

Event Impact: By the Numbers!

Thanks to this incredible community, here’s what we accomplished together:

  • 654 people attended — plus families and friends!

  • 39,676 pounds of reusable yard tools, pots, and garden materials diverted from the landfill

  • 2,556 waterwise plants found new homes

  • 512 veggie starts distributed

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in making such a significant impact on waste diversion and water conservation! You kept a huge amount of materials out of the landfill and all those waterwise plants equate to countless gallons of water saved over their lifetimes. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the next Rock & Reuse event on June 21 for even more community fun, featuring a live band, a rain barrel workshop, and so much more. Let’s keep the momentum going together!
