Irene works at Housing Connector, a technology and services company that partners with property owners to open housing to people experiencing homelessness. She previously co-founded AIM (Analytics and Insights Matter), a research and analytics company helping corporate teams navigate change. Earlier in her career, she held finance and grant management roles with the State of Colorado and Texas, and brings executive nonprofit experience from organizations like the American Solar Energy Society and Habitat for Humanity of Colorado. She has also served on nonprofit boards including the Colorado Chapter of Amigos de las Americas and Montessori Peaks Academy.

 

Across finance, sustainability, and housing, Irene has been drawn to work that strengthens communities and expands access to essential resources — the same commitment that brought her to the Resource Central board.

 

Irene earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Princeton University and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. In April 2019, she went on to earn a Certificate in Social Responsibility from the Center for Ethics on Social Responsibility (CESR) of the University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business.

 

A native Spanish speaker, Irene has called Colorado home for over 25 years. Alongside hiking with her bernedoodle Nia and e-biking, she is dedicated to expanding the ways she can support a sustainability-focused lifestyle, with a growing interest in water conservation.
