Carl Castillo

Carl Castillo has been employed with the City of Boulder since 2004 serving in the capacity of Policy Advisor. As such, he provides staff representation and communication on intergovernmental matters and guidance on cross-departmental city policies on behalf of the City Council and all city departments, in order to further city goals and advance understandings and mutually beneficial alliances with other governmental organizations. Prior to this, he worked as a planner at Jefferson County, a program director at the National Civic League and an enforcement attorney at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He has a B.A from the University of Maryland in Government and Politics, a J.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder School of Law, and a M.U.R.P. from the University of Colorado Denver School of Architecture and Planning.
