Originally from Michigan, Heather graduated from Northern Michigan University with a double major in Accounting and Outdoor Recreation. Her time working at camp and living in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula fostered a deep connection with nature and an appreciation for the space it holds for all of us. For the past 15 years, Heather has led youth expeditions and camps across the country, developing her expertise in program management, strategic growth, and community engagement. She’s excited to bring these skills to Resource Central as she helps grow the Garden In A Box program and Waterwise Seminars, inspiring sustainable water use throughout the community. When she’s not at work, you can find Heather hiking and camping with her family, tending to her garden, cooking from scratch, or at a soccer game.
