Neal Lurie is President & CEO of Resource Central and brings more than 20 years of leadership experience — and was recently named Business Leader of the Year Award by the Boulder Chamber. Neal is widely recognized as an expert in water conservation, climate change, sustainability, clean energy, and waste reduction. Under his leadership, he helped Resource Central become one of the largest water conservation nonprofits in the nation with more than one million program participants. The award-winning organization has helped people save more than two billion gallons of water and divert 74 million pounds of building materials from landfills. He is a frequent speaker at conferences, events, and is widely quoted in the media. Previously, he helped grow Colorado into one of the top solar energy states in the nation as CEO of the solar industry association. He also led the successful effort to build the US 36 Bikeway, the popular bicycle commuter highway that serves as the backbone of the regionās trail network. Neal received his MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder, and enjoys hiking, biking, and making it easy for people to live more sustainably.
