Thomas B. Chesney is President of the Commercial Banking Division of AMG National Trust bank and leads the organization’s commercial banking activities. Chesney joined AMG National Trust Bank in 2005 after starting FlatIrons Bank in Boulder, Colorado. During his four years with FlatIrons Bank, Chesney was Founder, CEO, and President of the bank and bank holding company. Mr. Chesney holds an MBA from the University of Northern Colorado and a BS from the University of Colorado. Mr. Chesney is active in community and industry organizations in the Denver and Boulder areas. He is a member of the Rotary Club in Boulder. He is Treasurer and a Board Member for The American Council for the Blind of Colorado. He is the past President for the Independent Bankers of Colorado and he is an advisory director to the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. Chesney is the current Chairman of the Board and a Director for the Center for Resource Conservation.
